Who we are

Roami is a free location discovery tool for the UK, available at roami.help. We help people find where to live by scoring 43,000+ settlements on open data.

What data we collect

• Analytics (PostHog) — We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how people use Roami. This includes page views, search queries, and feature interactions. Analytics only run after you accept cookies.
• Email (Roami Report) — If you download a Roami Report, we ask for your email to personalise the document. Your email is included in the generated HTML file but is not stored on our servers or used for marketing.
• Local storage— We store your shortlist and cookie consent preference in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

What we don't collect

We don't require accounts, passwords, or registration. We don't track you across other websites. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers. We don't use advertising cookies.

Lawful basis

We process analytics data based on your consent(given via the cookie banner). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cookies for this site.

Cookies

Roami uses analytics cookies from PostHog only after you consent. No cookies are set if you reject the cookie banner. Affiliate links use UTM parameters in URLs, not cookies.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained by PostHog for 12 months. Email addresses entered for Roami Reports are not stored on our servers.
